What is your current goal?
Continue to build a business that empowers and inspires women while finishing my masters degree in Executive Leadership, while remaining physically and emotionally healthy.
What is the most difficult thing for you to fit into your life while striving to achieve your goal?
SLEEP! SLEEP! SLEEP!
What steps did you take to fit that goal into your life?
If don't get enough sleep, my body begins to shut down. Once that happens, all bets are off, I fall behind on homework, I can't meet with clients and I can't get to the gym.
I have some rules that help me get the sleep I need, like cutting off coffee before noon, and cutting out drinking (which was tough bit worth it). I set myself up for success by making systems that make my goals part of my everyday routine. My textbooks and readings are labeled for the day of the week that I need to read them. When I get to "study time" I just grab the correct day of the week. I take my dog for a 45 minute walk in the morning, so that if I can't make it to the gym, I at least get morning exercise. I use my car ride to listen to uplifting music or audio books that make me feel good. All of this allows me to go to sleep at a decent hour.
If you have used a tool/activity/coaching from Fit Your Life Into Your or Jemia, what was it and how did it impact you?
The activity that is helping me the most is "My Best Self". It's the first activity in "How To Fit Your Life Into Your Life" I do this once a week. It helps me stay grounded and on course. I drown out what people say I should be doing and do what I want to do! My sense of self is my most valuable asset.
What is one tip that you have for women to achieve their goals?
Find Powerful Friends who are just as motivated as you. The more you go for what you want, the more you will be aware of nay-sayers and bad advice givers. They will make you doubt yourself. Your #PFFLs will have your back, because they are working just as hard to reach their goals. Nobody has time for haters!
